Meet Mai Ibrahim

Growing up Egyptian means inheriting some of the best food people have ever created, with tastes from the Mediterranean, Turkey, Africa, and the Middle East. Holidays in our family meant savoring baklava, kunefe, and other traditional sweets, and it wasn’t long before I wanted to bake my own.
​
When I came to the United States at age 17, I was introduced to a new culinary world, adding American cakes, pies, and pastries to my repertoire. As I finished my Masters's degree in computer science and raised two boys, I continued to improve my talents in the kitchen until I mastered a variety of desserts and savory dishes. I knew I was doing something right when my Greek friends started swearing by my baklava, so I started Maioosh.

Standards of safety and cleanliness are rigorously followed and consistent with the high requirements of the Cottage Food Safety Certification. I work hard to bring you the tastiest organic baked goods out there, offering the best of America and the Middle East home-cooked with love.
